ANDREW LAWTON, MD
Attending Physician, Division of Adult Palliative Care, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & Brigham and Women’s Hospital
Andrew Lawton, MD is an attending physician and clinician educator in the Division of Adult Palliative Care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also an Assistant Program Director for the BWH Internal Medicine Residency Program. Andrew’s clinical and academic interests focus on communication skills education for trainees and clinicians in practice. Andrew is a senior faculty member at VitalTalk and a faculty member of the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care.
NANCY E ORIOL, MD
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR of ANESTHESIA at HMS
Nancy E. Oriol, MD is the Faculty Associate Dean for Community Engagement in Medical Education, Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Lecturer in Social Medicine in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Oriol graduated from HMS in 1979, completed anesthesia residency at the Beth Israel Hospital and was Director of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesia until 1997. From 1997-2016, Dr. Oriol was Dean for Students at HMS. Dr. Oriol is co-founder of the Family Van, a mobile clinic, and co-founder of HMS MEDscience, a high school STEM program.
SENAN EBRAHIM, MD, PhD
Founder at Hikma Health
Senan is a social entrepreneur dedicated to using technology to improve global health. He founded Hikma Health to create a free and open source health data system for global use and Delfina to transform pregnancy care with lifesaving technology. He has an MD and PhD from Harvard in Computational Neuroscience in which he researched seizure prediction in epilepsy. Senan enjoys surfing, riding bikes, and listening to deep house mixes.
